PROJECT MANAGER
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controls Projects Manager with Electrical Experience to join our team. In this role, you will be reporting to the Operations Director and responsible for managing the execution of controls projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Commercial awareness is required for this role.
- Plan and manage controls projects, including project scope, budget, schedule, and resources
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans
- Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, technicians, contractors, and suppliers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, manufacturing, and service, to ensure project success
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including machine safety
- Understand and apply commercial principles and practices to project management
- Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, including senior management and customers
- Prepare project reports and presentations, including financial analysis, project status, and lessons learned
Requirements
- HND Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience in controls project management, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector
- Knowledge of electrical and controls systems, including PLC programming, HMI development, and electrical design
- Proven track record of managing complex projects, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate project teams
- Familiarity with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including HSE and ISO
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as MS Project, MS Planner
- Support Sales in the generation of quotations and tenders from Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Statement of Requirements (SOR).
- Strong written and spoken English skills
- Fluency in Office 365
- Understanding of machine safety standards and regulations
- Commercial awareness and ability to apply commercial principles and practices to project management

CONTROL SYSTEM ENGINEERS
We are looking for experienced and motivated senior controls engineers to join our controls team working in the following sectors
- Automotive
- Food and beverage

You will be responsible for designing and developing control software for Siemens S7 and TIA based programmable control systems together with Rockwell, Bosch Rexroth CoDeSys and other PLC and Safety systems.
If you have at least 5 years of experience designing and writing PLC and HMI software for industrial applications from first principals and are ready to face the challenge to join our dynamic controls department within a long-established and respected control system engineering company in the Midlands, we would love to hear from you.

- VFD drives configuration and setting up
- STL and or IL coding experience.
- ProfiNet systems or similar
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Ability to carry out basic electrical fault finding using a multimeter
- Documentation such as FDS, O&M manuals, etc.

- A good understanding of the English language, spoken and written due to most of our customers being in the UK.

ELECTRICAL DESIGNERS
We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing electrical and control systems for a range of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Main responsibilities
- Design electrical and control systems for a range of projects using EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel software
- Generate various pages, including title page, table of contents, revision overview, structure identifier overview, explanatory documents, thermal calculations, safety evaluation reports,
machine/plant layouts, bus network overview, labels, electrical arrangement drawings, cut-out drawings, multi-line diagrams, single-line diagrams, PLC overview, terminal strip overview, terminal diagrams, cable overview, cable diagrams, parts lists, summarised parts lists, window macros, and plot frames.
- Generate reports, including bill of materials, wire number labels, cable number labels, and device tag labels using Excel spreadsheets
- Import and export drawings from/to DXF/DWG files
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Work closely with the project team to ensure designs are delivered on time and within budget
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams
- Proficient in safety hardware validation using SISTEMA

CONTROL SYSTEM ELECTRICIANS
We are looking for experienced and motivated personnel with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role who can work with a minimum of supervision and are willing to play their part in a dynamic and busy team, promoting a positive work environment.
There is a requirement to work on-site at our customer premises where the general tasks are;
- Installing control panels
- Install mains, 24V dc and communication cables
- Install cable containment
- Wire motors, sensors and remote Input/Output nodes
- Terminations of field cables in a control panel
Our main customers are in the automotive, aerospace and logistics industry, therefore, there will be a requirement for weekend working and staying overnight away from home where required.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for wiring electrical control panels and equipment in our workshops, usually incorporating PLC, CNC or PC-based controllers together with AC servo drives and inverter motor controllers.
All Control panels will be built to CAD drawings produced by our electrical designers who are based in the same location.
